Election Day 2020

I am an American.   It is my right, responsibility and privilege to vote, to have my voice heard.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God,  indivisible and with liberty and justice for all.

This flag and everything it stands for belong to every American, not to any political party.

November 3, 2020 is election day.  Vote and have your voice heard too.

  1. I would be much happier if was our votes instead of the Electoral College determining the president. I always wondered why we had one and this year finally did some learning about it. A legacy from the slave states; get rid of it.

  2. It is so sad that our country is so divisive and this election could break us. In Chicago, they are boarding up storefronts and buildings in the city and the suburbs for fear of looting and rioting because of the outcome. Are we really at this point? It breaks my heart...and I am seriously afraid of what is going to happen to us all.

Michelle--the electoral college was established so that the areas of the country that are less dense still have some say in what happens in our government. Otherwise, all of the dense areas such as New York and California will have total control over what happens...and if that doesn't frighten you, it should. If you really want everyone to have a voice, the electoral college allows for that.

  3. Everything is so chaotic right now. I suspect that a whole lot of people feel like their voice isn't being heard. We live in strange times.

  4. From my side of the fence, it seems that once the election is identified as having been completed (and fair) it will be a good thing for the USA and the rest of the world.
