The trip home from Iowa was just like the trip up there--tiring and stressful trying to outrun a storm front containing nasty weather. But, we were successful and even had time for a fun stop at Missouri Star Quilt Company in Hamilton, Missouri.

I've been working on a Friendship Braid quilt using shabby chic colors and its coming along. No pictures of it yet, though.
I'm trying to clean up my sewing studio so it doesn't look like a tornado hit it. That's easier said than done since I've run out of storage space.
I've noticed that there's a few new followers and I am so happy to see that. Being the lax blogger that I am, I don't always acknowledge the folks I appreciate the most. Anyway, thank you!!
Y'all take care, and stay warm.
it's such a gloomy time of year...no matter where you live. Get that studio shaped up and dig into a new quilt and you'll feel better. :) Or just go buy some sunny bright fabrics---that always helps a sour mood.
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't dare do that!! I've totally run out of storage space for my fabric as it is!! I have pretty good willpower here around home, but when I'm near my favorite shops in other parts of the country-----well, that's a whole 'nother story! And I just got back from a trip like that. LOL.

My favorite of Carl Sandburg's poems. It isn't too deep, so I get it.
I like all those warm woods in his writing room.
And it's really cool that you got to visit the Missouri Star Quilting Company in person. What a treat!
Hang in there. Travels do take a toll and then you have to get settled again. We'll look forward to photos of the quilted braid.
One of the biggest struggles is with Blogger itself. I've been close to throwing in the towel a few times. It's just gotten so frustrating.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got home safely ahead of the bad weather.
ReplyDeleteI think many of us are quiet and not blogging much this month. All things are cyclical, it's OK to hunker down at this time of year. huggles from Bag End :}
