I know that I don't thank all of you, my readers, enough. I do appreciate all of you. I also am pleased that some of you take the time to leave a comment. I read each and every one of them even though I may not respond directly.
Again, thank you so much!!
Y'all take care.
I hope you are having a great week! I do enjoy your posts!
ReplyDeleteThanks for writing a great blog with really cool pictures. ;-)

Is that a Kestrel in the bottom photo? I love strolling through your blog!
ReplyDeleteJackie, that's a Cooper's Hawk. Kestrels are open space hunters, think fields and such. Coopers will check out the bird feeders regularly. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteHi FFG, sorry I have been AWOL recently, too much going on here, sorry :{
ReplyDeleteYou might call that a Coopers Hawk but I'd swear that was a juvenile male Sparrowhawk sitting at Bag End. (try July 17, 2010)
Bilbo, took a look at your Sparrowhawk, and while there are some similarities, it's not the same as our Cooper's. What we call a sparrow hawk here in the US is actually the American Kestrel and is a little thing at about 8 inches tall. They are also common in my neck of the woods.
DeleteLove your dream porch! Our porch wraps around the house on 3 sides--sure helps when you're trying to find a breeze--still way too hot and dry here! I enjoy your posts, too!
ReplyDeleteLove your Cooper!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird pictures. Also enjoyed going on to the quilt blog while I'm here. And i agree with Farmers Daughter. Your dream porch is a dream indeed. I would love to have one like it. - Karen
